Showing up on Social Media for a Creative or Small Business Owner

Reading the title of the blog post? Did you already sink into your seat a little, or just have this sudden feeling of fear. Maybe you just don't want to read this.

But here's the truth as a Creative or Small Business Owner, Social Media can definitely change your life for the best!

Let's talk about fears first because they are very real and as an extrovert, I'm going to tell you my fears weren't any different - Won't people judge me? Am I being too Salesy? How do I let strangers into my life? Don't I look and sound weird? Well.... here's the short answer - No, No, No and you guessed it a big fat NO!

Let's look at this from another perspective - What if people love what you have to say? What if you end up making Sales because of this? What if you actually end up building a community online? What if you just be your natural self and people love it?

As someone who's a Small Business Owner I have to tell you there's way more to lose by not putting yourself up than gain. So in the spirit of putting myself out there more here's a video I put together to talk about my experience about showing up on Social Media and some tips to help you along the way -

GOT ANY QUESTIONS? OR HAVE SOMETHING YOU WANT ME TO WRITE ABOUT SPECIFICALLY WELL MY LOVELY WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? JUST TYPE ON IN THE COMMENTS BELOW ALSO IF YOU FOUND THIS USEFUL DON'T FORGET TO LEAVE A COMMENT!

It was nice to see you in the video blog. Much easier to listen than to read. The topics you touched are in my mind too. I learnt new ways to get my business going. Hopefully i will get more courageous and be out there.

Loved the video.so honestly put and so relatable.the mere thought of having to speak about myself , drives me to a corner . Even when I did put myself on stories , The constant jokes from friends on how I talked ,how I looked sleepy or fat made me give up totally.
Like you spoke about re recording your clip , I would do that and my flatmate would be like" god you need to stop" and I totally stopped . Now that I am saying it outloud it sounds so depressing but I just hope I come out of it..😂 It was so much more easier to just talk to tte camera when I was speaking about the places I was travelllinn to 😂😂 I have not faced the camera once to speak about my art in 2 years and 2 month and counting 😂😂😂
